perfect size,
I loved the otterbox defender for my iphone 3g but the defender was just way to bulky on all my friends’ iphones 4 so I stayed away. Then I saw someone had the COmmuter case for their iphone 4 and it was much more practical, so I got it for myself. I am very Satisfied with it.
The case is a perfect size to me, it fully covers the phone and leaves a 1/8in lip on the front so nothing sits on the screen, instead rests on the sides of the case. The back is all hard plastic so I can easily take the phone in and out of my pocket, along with the top, bottom and sides of the case. While all 4 corners arr softer rubber along with the top lip, therefore the phone is well protected from drops but the soft rubber on the corners still keeps it comfortable in your hands. The headphone jack, charging port and volume buttons are all fully protected with rubber flaps to help keep any liquids or dirt out which i am especially fond of cause I take my phone everywhere. The rear camera and flash have a reinforced casing around them but nothing over them so the camera remains crisp, and the side “silent” button is also left open so can be easily accessed. It comes with a front screen protector but I ordered a ZAGG screen protector which I used and like better.

Best case I’ve found…,
Tried the Otterbox Defender case but it was just junk since it used a built in plastic screen cover as opposed to a stick on like this one. It allowed dirt to get between the phone and case which scratched the glass. The Defender was very bulky in comparison but this one still seems to provide good protection even though it is slimmer.
Overall fit and finish of this product is great and a vast improvement over the Defender case due to slim design, all around protection and a STICK ON screen protector. Dont waste your money on the Defender – get the Commuter!

About dropping it …,
I recommend the red OtterBox. It’s easier to see in a purse or on the counter. I’ve dropped it three times – on hardwood and tile and there wasn’t even a scratch. It’s pretty great.

Fantastic case, even better value,
I’m about as happy as I could be with the Impact case. Carrying around a slippery, glass-fronted device, I was primarily looking for a case that would provide good energy dissipation in the inevitable event that I drop-kick it across a room when fumbling for keys. As such, an unyielding hardshell case just wasn’t ideal. The fitment, bracing, and silicone material of the Impact are a well-thought-out means of limiting shock intensity (although I thankfully haven’t tested it to any considerable extent).
It will certainly do the same for the Apple logo, however! The thickness of the silicone protects it from most direct scratchin’ contact.
The Impact fits the phone snugly, provides a good textured grip for the hand, and doesn’t drown out the mic and earpiece like poorly-fitted units. All slides and buttons are easily accessible – perhaps even more so than without case since my hand isn’t slipping all over the glossy shell. Relatedly, the Impact adds very little size to the phone and weighs next to nothing.
The included screen protector works great too – I’d heard of rainbow refractions and a slightly-milky appearance, but cleaning the surface well beforehand and working carefully resulted in a crystal-clear application. Can’t tell it’s even in place. No complaints on that front.
I could do without the circular port on the back of the case, but it does nothing to harm structural integrity and it displays my MS sticker effectively.
My second option in terms of cases was the Otterbox Defender, but I felt the Impact would suffice for day-to-day protection, and thus far this has certainly proven to be true.

Stoked!!,
I work for the Fire Department and was looking for a rugged case that could stand up to the abuse I was expecting to put it through. After purchasing this product, I am confident my phone is fully protected from the elements. I will say, it does make the product a little bulky, I tend to put my phone in my pocket and not wear it on a belt clip. It’s bulky but doable. It was a good purchase and I’m glad I bought it. One thing I will mention about it, is that it didn’t come with instructions on how to put it in the case, and it literally took me about 15mins. to figure it out. Also, after market car charges and docking stations will not work with this case because the connection is too deep in the case. Knowing those two things, I would still buy it.

Worthless after 3 months,
After about 3 months of fairly light usage this case stretched just enough to cover the proximity sensor of the iPhone. This prevents the phone from lighting up when you pull the phone away from your face after you are done talking, which means you don’t see the “end call” button. We thought it was the phone dying at first until doing some research to find out the cheaper cases were doing this. Took the case off and phone works perfectly fine.
There are far better cases for an extra $5 like the iSkin. Or if you can go $30, the Defender (made by same company) has served me well other than the belt clip.

Can’t go wrong with this case and here’s why …,
I was looking for an inexpensive case to replace a chunky rubber one that housed my iphone. I was very doubtful that it could be good since the price was so ridiculous low, but I’m glad I placed the order. It snapped onto the phone in seconds; the case is perfectly cut out so all necessary switches and ports are completely accessible; it is nice looking and sturdy. It is also considerably less bulky than the rubber case I had. As a small plus, for women like me that tuck their phones into a pocket in the outside of their handbag, it slides in and out easily; doesn’t grab the handbag material like my other one did. And – shipping was quick, product received in good shape. What’s not to like!!! Go for it

You get what you pay for.,
This case was too cute, but was made very poorly. I had the case on my phone for 2 days before it broke. The top right corner cracked from the camera towards the front. I’m not certain exactly what caused the damage as the phone was never roughly handled. It was just cheap plastic. Oh well, it was cute while it lasted!

Good Case for the money,
I’m a fairly clumsy person, and so I wanted a hard case to protect my phone. This case is cute, and you can’t beat the price on it. It’s fairly durable, and finally broke after a year of dropping the phone repeatedly. However, I agree with another reviewer that it’s difficult to get off your phone once it’s on there. It’s definitely not for those who want to change the look of their phone regularly. Other than that, it served it’s $3 purpose.
