@cameralabs
hmmmm…. so the EZ zoom (extended optical zoom) goes to 300 and the digital zoom is even greater?
Any idea of what the max digital zoom is equal to??? Thanks for your reply

@3117ss Yep, it’s all optical.

Are you sure that OPTICAL zoom sequence went to 300?
I thought that zoom was way too smooth. Usually it starts smoothly but in order to get to 300 it begins in optical and then goes into DIGITAL zoom which suddenly/abruptly jumps into an ultra zoom i.e. 300mm ?

i wish these reviews – had more opinions and honest human comments, instead of re-reading the cameras ‘specs’ and capabilities. 7 minutes wasted, only 1 minute was actually worth watching.

@rawiswar1995 The TZ8 is another very similar offering to the TZ7. What camera magazine gave the TZ7 a 90% score and the TZ8 got an 89%. However, if the TZ8 has the TZ10 video issues then I stand by my word on the TZ7 being the better option despite the lack of a manual mode which I really wish it had and would have completed the camera. What camera magazine even mentioned it would have gotten a higher score if it had it.

@simon44 Thanks! I might end up buying one when I get some extra cash

@rawiswar1995 I’m gonna say yes. I’ve a TZ7 and I’m trying to find an upgrade. The TZ10 is good in that it has a manual mode but its jerky on video mode. The same problem exsists with the TZ18 and TZ20. Panasonic obviously thought it was better to improve the focus over the image stability. I prefer image stability so I prefer the TZ7. However, if focus is more important (although if you watch my vids you wont see an issue) then maybe the TZ10 is a better option for you.

@eissa37 that’s nothing to do with the camera, youve either got a dodgy or fake card – i suggest buying a samsung memory caRD FROM AMAZON as most ebay ones are fake.
